Will Wil Elden Ring be on Game Pass?

Will Elden Ring be on Game Pass for Xbox and PC? That’s a reasonable question given Microsoft’s recent buying spree when it comes to studios. Will MS throw money Elden’s way to get Elden somewhere down the line? Obviously, at this point, it’s clearly not there yet, but plenty of games appear on Game Pass past their release date, and with a title as big as Elden Ring, you can bet Microsoft is waving that check. For that reason, we’ll answer if the prospects for Elden Ring Game Pass are good, if it’s worth someone on the Xbox subscription service waiting for.

As of this writing, there’s no indication whether we can expect Elden Ring to be on Game Pass at any point, as neither Bandai Namco nor From Software have commented on it. However, there are useful indicators that no other From Software games are on Game Pass at the time of writing. The Soulsborne series has historically had closer ties to Sony than Microsoft, such as Bloodborne’s status as a PS4 exclusive, so while none of this rules out the idea that Elden Ring could ever be on Game Pass , this indicates that it is certainly not probable to this indicate. Maybe a bit after launch? Either way, we’ll be sure to update this page if we hear more about this one way or another. It’s certainly true to say that its initial reveal via a Microsoft event confused the issue a lot, but all we can say for sure at this point is that you can buy it for the Xbox, not get it for free via Game Pass subscription.
