San Andreas is coming to Xbox Game Pass on November 11

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, a set comprising remastered versions of three RGT classics, is expected to launch on November 11. The package will include new versions of GTA III, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas, improved for the current generation of game consoles. On the same day, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas arrives alongside them on Xbox Game Pass as an individual title.

What’s interesting is that as far as we currently know, The trilogy will be the only way to buy and play these three games. Rockstar has yet to announce whether we will be able to purchase them individually as standalone games. But it is clear that the capacity is there like GTA San Andreas will be free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

For those who never had the chance to play San Andreas when it was released in 2004, you are in for a treat. The game takes you to the fictional town of San Andreas, heavily inspired by California and Nevada. The map includes three major cities, Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas, which are also inspired by the actual American cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, respectively. Set in the early ’90s, you play as Carl’ CJ ‘Johnson, who finds himself on the run after cops charged him with manslaughter. Too real, eh?

In typical Grand Theft Auto Fashion, the game has lots of references to real life elements and world events. Considered by many to be one of the greatest games of all time, San Andreas introduced many game mechanics that will be used in the future Grand Theft Auto securities.

Of course, we’re still talking about a game that came out in 2004, so obviously some things had to be updated and improved. Players can expect visual improvements such as resolution upgrades and improved visual fidelity as well as gameplay mechanics that adopt modern GTA-inspired controls.

When Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition comes to Xbox Game Pass, you can play it on Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One.
