Emirates will roll out the IATA Travel Pass across its global network

Emirates has become the first airline to implement the IATA Travel Pass solution on six continents.

After successful trials in April on selected routes from its Dubai hub, Emirates gradually rolled out the pilot IATA Travel Pass to customers on 12 routes in June, and the airline has now signed a contract with IATA to implement the solution on its global network.

The pass is currently available to Emirates customers traveling from 50 airports, including Heathrow, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham. The rollout to more than 120 Emirates destinations is expected to be completed by October.

Main features of the IATA Travel Pass:

  • Repository of the latest travel requirements: Allows passengers to find accurate information on travel, testing and vaccine requirements for their trips.
  • Test Center Registry: Allows passengers to access Covid-19 certified test centers at their place of departure that meet the requirements of their destinations.
  • Digital documentation: the application allows passengers to digitally manage their travel documentation. From receiving test results and vaccination certificates directly from authorized laboratories and testing centers, to conveniently and securely sharing these documents with authorities and airlines to facilitate travel.
